Chris Kettering, a Glen Flora native, has always been interested in the automotive industry. Ever since he was a little kid, he loved cars and especially enjoyed working on them. His career began in the ARMY where he served in places such as Germany, Bosnia and Croatia. He also traveled within the U.S., meeting his wife, Denise, in Colorado. After being in the military, Chris worked at a car dealership in Colorado, until family brought him, his wife, and their two daughters back to Wisconsin in 2004. It was then that he came to work at Markquart Motors as a technician. Not only did Chris serve us as a great technician, but he also studied to become a GM World Class Technician. That is the highest level of training that a GM technician can have. Chris said that it took 3-4 years and almost 15 trips to Chicago before he gained that title. Now he is taking on a new role in our service department as a Service Advisor. Chris says that his favorite part about his job here is the people he works with, the opportunities he has been given and being able to work in our beautiful facility each day. When he is not assisting customers with their service needs, you can find Chris doing pretty much anything in the outdoors. Some of his family’s favorite hobbies are to hunt, camp, snowmobile and go boating.
