Open to the public throughout the year between 6:00 am and 11:00 pm, Chippewa Moraine State Recreation Area encompasses an area of over 3,000 acres and was established in the early 1970s by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Some of the amenities available for visitors include a section of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail, fishing spots, and designated areas for wildlife watching and photography.

Located just 12 miles southwest of downtown Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire is a medium city with plenty of local attractions and things to do for visitors of all ages. Sitting on the banks of the Chippewa River, Eau Claire is known in the region for its vibrant music scene.
